Events

The festival is an occasion for every Vietnamese to remember their origin and express their respect as well as gratitude to ancestor of Vietnamese people- the first King of Viet Nam - King Hung.

At the same time with incense-offering ceremony at Hung Temple in Phu Tho Province, sacrifice-offering ceremonies at Hung Temple in Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang and other provinces are aslo celebrated.

Thanks to its unique and distinct values, in December 2012, the UNESCO officially recognized the worship of Hung Kings in Phu Tho Province as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This is the first belief in Viet Nam recognized as world heritage.
