What You'll Get

A 4-day, 3-night jaunt between borders covering two neighboring cities: Bandar Seri Begawan in Brunei; Miri in Sarawak, Malaysia; and everything culinary and cultural in between

Highlights

On your first day in Brunei's bustling capital Bandar Seri Begawan (BSB), you'll start the tour by sampling Brunei's unique flavours at a local restaurant. Proceed to the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque and the hubbub of the Gadong Night Market to take in the sights, sounds and wonderful smells of BSB at street level.

The next two days takes you across the border to the nearby Malaysian city of Miri, which like BSB relies on petroleum as a key industry. (Bukit Tenaga, formerly Canada Hill, site of the first oil discovery in Miri, is part of your city itinerary.)

"Black gold" has nonetheless allowed a plethora of cultures to thrive in Miri, accounting for the city's many cultural highlights that you will visit: the Taoist Temple and the  Sarawak Handicraft Center among them.

The Miri city tour covers all these sites, bookended by shopping at the Morning Market and the Bintang Mall.
On your last day, back in Brunei, you'll explore Bandar Seri Begawan's key highlights: the Tamu (Open Market); notable museums like the Regalia Centre and the Malay Technology Museum; and the Kampong Ayer (water village) where you'll sit down to local cakes and tea in a house after a water taxi ride.

After a tour of Jame' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, the capital's newest house of worship, you'll go shopping for Brunei souvenirs at Rahmans before transferring to BSB Airport for your flight home.
