What You'll Get
This 15-day/14-night voyage erases the borders between Thailand and Cambodia, through a wide-ranging itinerary that covers the indispensable highlights of both countries.
Bookended by Bangkok in Thailand and Siem Reap in Cambodia, this epic tour of two Kingdoms in Southeast Asia must be experienced to be believed.
You start off at Bangkok – the modern-day capital of the Kingdom of Thailand, where the destinations could not be more different: the chaotic marketplace vibe of Khaosan Road and the rich grandeur of the Royal Grand Palace.
Embark on a road trip from the capital, passing by salt fields, coconut farms, floating markets, and a World War II Cemetery before you arrive at the bridge over the River Kwai.
Your next stop is Siem Reap, gateway to the Angkor complex of temples. Entering Angkor Thom through the South Gate, you'll see first-hand the stone glory of the Khmer empire that once ruled from this place, embodied in Baphuon Temple, Phimean Akas Temple and Angkor Wat itself.
Returning to Thailand, you'll tour Chiang Mai and its attractions – the mountaintop temple Wat Doi Suthep; the Morning Market; the Sankhampaeng Handicraft Village; and an elephant camp that treats its charges humanely.
Krabi is next on the list – you'll visit Khao Sok National Park, where you'll stay in a treehouse and take a cruise down the river in a canoe. Finally, you'll visit Phi Phi Island and enjoy one of Thailand's finest beaches.
